Also known as 'Detroit Agate', this incredible material was discovered in vintage car factories. It is a result of the automobile painting process where thin layers of enamel paint are sprayed and then baked together. Over many years the residue becomes thick and hard enough for lapidaries to cut, shape and reveal layer upon layer of stunning patterns of vibrant classic car colors.
